We’re delighted to announce that the 12th edition of the International Balaton Carp Cup (IBCC) will take place between April 18–25, 2026 – once again bringing together the global carp fishing community for one of the most iconic events in the sport.
Every year, more and more teams register for the world’s largest carp fishing competition – in 2025, anglers came from 28 countries, from Vietnam to Kazakhstan, from England to Norway, and even from South Africa. Over 300 teams competed along the scenic shores of Hungary’s largest lake, Lake Balaton, in 3- or 4-person teams, fishing fairly and with deep respect for nature.
What makes the IBCC truly special is not only the thrill of the competition, but the welcoming international community, the love for nature, and the spirit of ethical fishing that defines every moment of the event.
